Arosha & Shanel

MEET AROSHA AND SHANEL

Born in SriLanka, Arosha Goonawardena practiced buddhism for 30 years, upon giving his life to Christ when he felt a peace that transcends understanding. After marrying Shanel, they moved to Perth Australia, and are the co-founders of WowLife Church alongside Kirby and Fiona de Lanerolle. Arosha's journey so far is one of remarkable resilience and faith. In 2017 he held onto the resurrection power of Christ, recovering from a coma following surgical complications from a cancer diagnosis. Both Arosha and Shanel are ordained pastors under the Apostolic Diocese of Ceylon, Apostolic Grace Covering  , bringing spiritual guidance and support to their community.

In 2019, they stepped out in faith to officially establish WOWLife Australia. Today, they have founded leaders across the nation who are building the shared vision and mission to build the reformed church of Christ. Professionally, Arosha serves in the State Government, while Shanel is dedicated to Community Development within the Local Government. They are the proud parents of four children and are passionately committed to making a positive impact both nationally and globally.

Dee and Vinh Phu

MEET DEE & VINH PHU

After serving in their local church for over 12 years, God lead them to a new season of growth in Christ. Linking in with WOWLife international, they met Shanel and Arosha at a meeting in Melbourne. A few years later, they left everything to move to Perth to begin this new season with their four young children. Vinh established his own structural engineering company, and Dee teaches at a classical Christian microschool where her two youngest attend. They are both passionate about building the church, supporting the mission and vision of WOWLife Australia, establishing strong foundations for the next generations to know Christ.

Adriana

MEET ADRIANA

Adriana Smith  is a jewel within the kingdom of God, grafted in Italy and brought up in the Catholic Church. Her journey to Australia led her to the port of Sri Lanka at the young age of 8, and little did she know of the connection of this country that God had planned for her. In 1982, Adriana heard a Pastor on the radio speaking of the Holy Spirit and was inspired by their transition to Christianity. This led her to search out the Christian churches where she learnt more of God’s word. Adriana’s deep desire for God and His truth led her to the early WOWLife Perth gatherings, where she met Ps Arosha and Shanel in 2018. Here she has been diligently serving in her gifts of intercession, evangelism and since mid 2024, she has been ordained under the ADC as a minister of the gospel. Adriana is a proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She carries an unwavering faith in God’s love and goodness, and commitment to building the church within the Perth community yet her heart is also set nationwide moving with the ministry of WOWLife Australia. Adriana brings a strength, love and joy in how she lives her life, she enjoys gardening, staying active walking, all the while looking fashionable!
